Yes, i know, i am a little late. But hey, better late than never. This edition of Throwback Thursdays, is going to be two parts. Let’s get the first part over with.
For the past couple of weeks, i have been posting the old Fujifilm logos. As i mentioned last week, we would be getting into the ’90’s this week. Without further ado, here is this weeks Fujifilm logo.
Fujifilm Logo From 1992:
As you can see, this logo is becoming more familiar to what we are use to seeing these days. It’s a bit redundant with the 1980’s logo incorporated into it though.
As i stated above, there will be two parts to this blog, so here is part II: Last night, my folks stopped by and they brought over all the things that were left to me after my Grandmothers passing last November. They also bought over some items that they themselves were wanting to get rid of.
Needless to say, i felt like i walked into a flea market when i got home last night.
Anyhow, one of the items that my folks had bought over to get rid of, was an old Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop. I had been asking for it for a while so that i could use it to write my blog on. This way, our other laptop would be freed up for my wife.
How old is this laptop you ask? Well, it has Windows XP on it if that is any indication. Furthermore, the screen is square, unlike todays laptops that have a rectangular screen. Another indication would be the fact that the battery slides in at the side of the unit. By the way, the battery is toast. I would hazard a guess and say that this laptop is probably 10+ years old.
Anyhow, it still works and will do just fine to work on my blog. No, i will not try to run Photoshop on it!
I finished putting the 120 windows updates on it last night – surprised the laptop was able to survive that – and tonight, i will clean it further by taking off unwanted programs and just “slimming” it down.
That’s it for me this week. It’s been a long week and after last night, i am slightly drained. I will be going out this weekend to shoot with my new lenses, so i should have some new stuff to post.
