Cardinalis cardinalis (Northern Cardinal)

It’s not east to take a picture of a Cardinal.  They don’t seem to stay in one spot for very long, so you have to be very quick on the trigger.

They have a very distinctive song; therefore, you know when one is in your backyard.  I always found it interesting the the males are more “flashy” with their color then the females.  Males are red and black.
