Black & White HDR

I am still getting the hang of processing the RAF files from the XP1.  In order to get a little more practice, I decided to take a picture of the backyard after our snowfall last night.

However, instead of doing it in color, I did it in black & white and made an HDR image.  Funny thing was, when I converted the RAF files into DNG, they came out as color photos, even though I had my camera set to take the photos in B&W.  Weird.

Anyhow, i set my camera up on the tripod, set the lens to f16, ISO to 200, set it to RAW, B&W with yellow filter and used the 2 second timer.

I took five exposures and blended them together in Photoshop Elements 9.  I did not have to do an HDR image; but as I said before, I wanted to experiment & get practice.  I also really need to learn how to use Photoshop Elements a lot better.

I can see that the White Balance needed tweaking a bit.  Though, it was fun to put together to see what the result would turn out to look like.
