Square Place d’Armes is a great place to go to in the summer or fall and just have a sit down. Ever since the city renovated it a few years ago, it is a very open area. Right in the middle of the square, is a monument to Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve, the founder of Montreal.
This monument was unveiled on July 1st, 1895.
At the base of the monument, four important figures from the days of New France are represented.
Here is a view of the square itself. I am looking forward to getting my hands on an ultra-wide lens for my camera.
